Common questions

Is it as good as a human interview?: It asks follow-up questions and digs into why, the way a good researcher would. Every interview is recorded, so you can listen and judge for yourself.
Who talks to my users?: Overheard's AI interviewer. Before anything is recorded, each participant sees a short consent notice in plain language. You decide who gets invited.
What does a study cost?: You pay for a plan, sized to how often you run studies, plus a fee for each completed interview. We'll quote both on a call.
Do you use panels or synthetic users?: No. Overheard only interviews your own users. You choose who to invite, and it can help you pick who fits the study.
How long does a study take?: Sign up, and you can have a study plan drafted and invites out in a few minutes. After that it depends on how quickly your participants respond, usually a few days, and the readout is ready once they've finished.
Can I control how it asks questions?: Yes. Nothing launches until you've reviewed the study plan, and you can edit any of it, including the questions and what to follow up on.
Is our data safe?: Yes. Your data is kept separate from other customers' and encrypted, and we don't train shared models on it. The Security page has the details, including how to have it deleted.
